Susan Simko - Founder | CEO | Fractional CFO
Susan has over 25+ years of financial leadership experience across a multitude of industries including venture capital, healthcare, franchising, life sciences, tech and health & wellness. She has extensive operational finance experience in financial planning & analysis, financial modeling, business planning, equity financing, building high-performing teams, and collaborating with the C-Suite.

Her CFO experience includes 10 years at a venture capital firm where she managed the financial operations of multiple investment funds comprised of 15+ legal entities and 5 years at a franchisor she helped grow from 35 to 168 units in under two years. Susan has led finance teams in companies of all sizes from pre-revenue startups to multi-billion dollar organizations. She has successfully guided businesses through periods of rapid growth and expansion as well as through periods of organizational change, operational improvement and expense reduction. Additionally, Susan has played an integral role in M&A due diligence, closing buy & sell transactions​, in many successful financing rounds, and in managing audits with independent auditors (including Big 4 firms).​

Susan holds a BBA in Finance from the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business and also earned her MBA from the University of South Dakota, where she was named as a finalist for the Beacom School of Business "Outstanding Graduate Student" Award. Additionally, she has engaged in extensive coursework in Finance and Strategic Management at the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management.
